Privacy
How we handle your data.
This page describes how the platform is built and behaves today. It will be replaced by a formally reviewed privacy policy before public launch.
What we collect
Your email address and password (stored only as a hash), the onboarding answers you choose to give, the resumes and job descriptions you upload or write, and the answers you give during practice interviews.
What we ask permission for
We ask for explicit consent before recording microphone audio, saving an interview transcript, sending your material to an AI provider, or sharing a report with an institution. Each is a separate decision and each can be declined.
Interview audio
Raw interview audio is not retained. Audio is transcribed and then discarded. If optional audio retention is offered in future it will be off by default, with the retention period shown and deletion available.
What institutions can see
If you join through a college or training institute, staff can see aggregate progress for their cohort. They cannot read your private interview transcripts unless you explicitly choose to share them. Organisations are isolated from one another.
AI providers
Resume text and interview answers are sent to an AI provider to generate suggestions and feedback. Text is extracted and sanitised first. Content in an uploaded document is treated as data, never as instructions to the system.
What we never log
Passwords, authentication tokens, API keys, payment credentials, complete private resumes, raw interview audio, and sensitive prompts are excluded from application logs.
Your controls
You can view and revoke signed-in devices, change your password (which signs out every device), and request account deletion or a data export by writing to support@skillenix.local.
